Taft College Begins 8th Year with Financial Aid TV (FATV)

Online Video Service Improves Student Understanding, Effectiveness of Customer Service, and is a Valuable Tool in Achieving Default Aversion Goals
BOULDER, CO – Financial Aid TV (FATV), a leading supplier of online video solutions for college financial aid offices, announced today a milestone for one of its school partners.
Taft College (Taft, CA) is beginning its 8th year of using Financial Aid TV’s customized online video counseling and outreach solutions.
“FATV has been, and continues to be, an essential financial aid resource to our students and the community,” said Barbara Amerio, Director of Financial Aid at Taft College. “Though we strive to provide our students and the community with our professional knowledge and personalized service, there are times when our services are not available to them.  FATV is available 24/7 to aid in bridging this gap.”
Amerio added: “It is our desire to impart all the best resources we have at hand.  As technology advances, we are adapting to deliver information in different formats.  In the past three months, our office has begun the process of embedding FATV videos into our web pages with great success.”
“Visits to our pages and FATV videos watched has quadrupled since we have embedded these videos.  We are committed to providing quality service and increased awareness of financial aid resources.  FATV has provided both of these services,” added Joanne Dumbrigue, Financial Aid Outreach Clerk at Taft College.
“FATV is designed to assist all schools regardless of size, including online distance education programs and traditional brick and mortar institutions. The ability to have questions answered after office hours is a key benefit,” said Paul Burke, VP of Sales for Financial Aid TV.
Schools are deploying FATV in a variety of ways, including:
  • To Improve Customer Service
  • To Reduce Student Wait Times
  • To Reduce Student Phone Calls
  • To Expand SAP Counseling Reach
  • To Improve Default Aversion Efforts
  • To Improve Financial Literacy Efforts
