Online Video Service Improves Student Understanding, Effectiveness of Customer Service, and is a Valuable Tool in Achieving Default Aversion Goals
BOULDER, CO – Financial Aid TV (FATV), a leading supplier of online video solutions for college financial aid offices, announced today a new addition to its online network.
Wallace State Community College (Hanceville, AL) is the latest institution to take advantage of Financial Aid TV’s customized online video counseling and outreach solutions.
“Financial Aid TV answers a lot of questions that students have every day,” said Becky Graves, WSCC Financial Aid Director.
With upwards of 10,000 students applying for student aid, Graves said FATV is a great resource. “That information is at their fingertips,” she said. “They can get many answers at their convenience.”
Graves admits the financial aid process can be confusing. “We throw a lot of terms out there,” she said, terms many students have never heard before and have no idea what they mean.”
FATV videos educate students on those terms and take a lot of the stress out of the process. “I think it helps them navigate through all of the paperwork,” Graves said. “The word paperwork scares everybody, but FATV explains exactly what you need to do. It puts them at ease.”
“FATV is designed to assist all schools regardless of size, including online distance education programs and traditional brick and mortar institutions. The ability to have questions answered after office hours is a key benefit,” said Paul Burke, VP of Sales for Financial Aid TV.
Schools are deploying FATV in a variety of ways, including:
- To Improve Customer Service
- To Reduce Student Wait Times
- To Reduce Student Phone Calls
- To Expand Counseling Reach
- To Improve Default Aversion Efforts
- To Improve Financial Literacy Efforts
- To Assist Veterans
